OUR VISION FOR 2026-2027

WAYBS Vision for 2026-2027: To continue to support Woodstock Rec's efforts in improving the baseball experience for our youth, including raising money via an annual appeal to complete the improving youth baseball programs and facilities.

We aim to raise up to $10,000 over the next 2 years for the following exciting projects for youth baseball:
  • Install semi permanent batting cage at Vail ($5,000). The current temporary cage blew down in a wind storm summer of 25.  We repaired it temporarily.  The cage would be able to be taken down for winter skating and hockey and other Vail events.   â€‹â€‹
  • Purchase new landing area for portable mound ($150). The current mound surface (2 years old) is getting dangerous for landing with 10U, 12U and Middle School programs all using the mound.
  • Purchase new used or repair current pitching machine ($1,000). Current machine was donated by the Lake Monsters.
  • Install new water fountain/bottle station with Rec
  • Help install an electric outlet to batting cage area/field area for pitching machine ($2,000)
  • Annual maintenance for field dragger ($500)
  • Second mound for bullpen area (that mound is ending its useful life ($1,000) Portable mounds allow them to be moved for activites at Vail. Ideally we have two mounds for home and away.
  • Equipment needs that the Rec cannot fund--additional baseballs, which get lost or rain soaked ($200)
These items are an aggressive two year plan that will keep the excitment high for youth baseball in the Woodstock Area.
