Supporting the future of baseball in Woodstock

Our mission is to teach, mentor and provide facilities for amateur youth baseball and other amateur sports in the Woodstock, Vermont area. We are a non-profit 501c3 registered organization.

Our Story

Founded in 2022 by Patrick Crowl, John Malcolm, and Kevin Channell with a passion for youth baseball in the Woodstock area.  Now our Board consists of five active members:  Patrick and John as founders, Justin Park, Maggie Fitzgerald and Kyle Amos.
 

We are also proud to serve and support youth baseball with the Woodstock Recreation Department for kids in grades K-2 (T Ball/Coach Pitch) and Cal Ripken Baseball minors and majors for grades 3-6 (the Twin River Cal Ripkin Baseball League) in the Woodstock Area which includes: Barnard, Bridgewater, Pomfret, Reading and Woodstock.

Patrick and Family

Patrick Crowl

Founder & President

Patrick lives with his wife Stacy and son Liam in Pomfret, VT. Patrick owns a fresh food market in Woodstock. He spends a lot of time outdoors when not at his shop. He is a certified Cal Ripken coach, the Woodstock Middle School Baseball Caoch and helps out at all levels in the  Woodstock/Twin Rivers baseball scene.

John Malcolm

Co-Founder & Vice President

John and his wife Janet have 3 boys. The Malcolms were heavily involved in the Woodstock area for 10 years with ECFiber and various other committees. They've since relocated to PA to be near family, but John still remains an active advisor to the board. They will always have a piece of Vermont in their hearts and will frequently visit. So don't be surprised if you run into them in town or at Vail field sometime!

Justin Park

Vice President

Justin lives with his wife, Carin, and two kids, Anabelle and Charles on their homestead in Barnard, VT.  Justin works as an electrician, but also can be seen playing music gigs in town, or coaching his kids' sports.  He is also the Rec department chair for the town of Barnard.  Justin has a real passion for baseball, and loves to pass this "love of the game" on to the next generation.

Maggie Fitzgerald

Vice President

Maggie and her husband, Brian, are happily raising their three sons in Reading, VT. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Maggie spent her childhood playing softball in local recreational leagues, like Woodstock Area Youth Baseball, and went on to play Varsity Softball in high school, where her team played for several state titles. Maggie is also a dedicated volunteer at her children’s school library. She has been involved with the board of directors for several arts non-profits, including the Hambidge Center, the Atlanta Gallery Association, and The Hagedorn Family Foundation, and she currently chairs the board for the Hagedorn Legacy Project, an educational organization that focuses on mentoring, financial literacy, and career opportunities for students in Columbus, OH. Maggie loves reading, yoga, hiking with her golden retriever, and playing sports with her boys.

Kyle Amos

Vice President

Kyle lives with his family in Plymouth, VT. They have built their lives around, made lasting friendships through, and have a deep love for skiing, youth athletics, and community involvement.

His love of baseball has come from coaching his two children, their friends, and classmates in Killington for 6 seasons through the Killington Rec Baseball program. He has been an assistant coach for the Twin River Baseball 14u squad and looks forward to coaching various teams in the future.

He is excited to be a part of the WAYBS group and help grow the program.
